CoQ10 Promotes Heart Health
LOS ANGELES--Jarrow Formulas announced results from a small-scale clinical trial of its Q-Absorb CoQ10 product, which were presented at the 3rd Annual International Co-Q10 Conference held in London. Researchers divided subjects with ischemic heart disease and heart failure into groups to receive Q-Absorb, exercise therapy, Q-Absorb and exercise therapy, or placebo. Both groups taking the CoQ10 product exhibited elevations in plasma CoQ10 levels, as well as peripheral arterial dilation and increased peak volume of oxygen consumed. The combined therapy of CoQ10 and exercise resulted in the greatest gains, according to the company (www.jarrow.com), with endothelial dysfunction being almost normalized.
