NEW YORKInternational Flavors & Fragrances, Inc., kicks off the celebration of its 125th anniversary year with the launch of a commemorative logo that reflects IFFs significant legacy. The formal celebrations will be kicked off by the board of directors at an event in IFFs creative center in Hilversum, the Netherlands, which will be followed by a series of activities for the balance of the year.
Beginning with the founding of Polak & Schwarz on Jan. 27, 1889, in Zutphen, the Netherlands, and culminating in the 1958 merger with van Ameringen-Haebler to form IFF in New York, the company attributes its long success to its employees, customers, partners and shareholders.

In December 2013, the company announced plans to invest over $50 million in its flavors operations in Jakarta, Indonesia, to include a new state-of-the-art creative center and a new manufacturing facility.
The company has made several large investments to support the developing markets over the last few years, including the opening of a liquid flavors and fragrances manufacturing facility in Singapore; the construction of a new flavors creative center and expansion of the existing manufacturing site in Gebze, Turkey; and the construction of a new dedicated flavors plant in Guangzhou, China.
