Case Study Reports Calcium Alleviates Fatigue
STUTTGART, Germany--In a case study run in the Sept. 15 edition of The Lancet (358:888, 2001) (www.thelancet.com), a patient who suffered life-long fatigue experienced increased energy after calcium supplementation. The woman had previously been diagnosed with rickets and impaired kidney function. Her vitamin D and metabolite levels were within normal range, and she was then treated with calcium andcalcidiol, a generic form of vitamin D. Her calcium levels rose rapidly thereafter, giving her increased energy and focus.
