DARLINGTON, Wis.--GFBC-Brunkow Cheese Cooperative is now marketing the firstWisconsin Cheeses to carry the Vegetarian Society United Kingdom's seal ofapproval. The cooperative's cheeses are manufactured with no rennet and use milkthat is free of synthetic bovine growth hormone; the process is verifiedvegetarian by an independent third party.

The Vegetarian Society's Approved logo is one of the most widely recognizedstamps of vegetarian approved products. "The certification process andapproved logo marketing program makes it easy for the consumer to identifyproducts that are environmentally safe, animal friendly and healthier toeat," said Fritz Geissbuhler, president of GFBC-Brunkow.
