Sales of herbal dietary supplements in the United States increased by 7.9 percent, and U.S. tea sales increased by 5.9 percen in 2013, according to a report published in the American Botanical Council’s (ABC) HerbalGram. Mark Blumenthal, ABC’s founder and executive director, said this is due to consumers’ increase focus on health and the role nutrition plays in wellness.
