BROOMFIELD, Colo.--The Herb Research Foundation (HRF) held its first annualHerbal Benefits Banquet and Silent Auction here, March 2. The banquet included amenu that incorporated fresh herbs with every course, enjoyed by governmentofficials, executives from the high-tech and natural product industries andother individuals, along with HRF members.

At the banquet, HRF president Rob McCaleb presented the First Annual HRFMerit Award to Tom and Kate Chappell, co-founders of Tom's of Maine. The awardwas presented to the company for its commitment to environmental and socialresponsibility.
