DSM will host a webinar on May 21, 2015, to highlight new research on how vitamin E can help curb the onset of Alzheimer’s disease. Within an aging society, Alzheimer’s type dementia is a major concern. The disease can have a devastating impact on quality of life, with patients relying on caregivers for standard daily living activities. Whether it is memory impairment, deterioration, confusion or anger suffered by patients, this highly disruptive neurological disease demands attention. Leading scientist Maurice Dysken will join DSM’s Manfred Eggersdorfer and Jacob Bauly to present the latest findings on vitamin E in combating the progression of Alzheimer’s disease. At a recent annual event hosted by TSI Group’s China division, TSI China, attendance grew 50 percent compared to last year. TSI China held the second Technical Symposium in Shanghai, China, on April 1, 2015, which ran concurrently with Shanghai’s Food Ingredient China tradeshow, April 1 to 3. The symposium covered a range of relevant industry topics, such as new innovations in supplement and food ingredients, as well as U.S. market updates and trends. Presenters included representatives from Bergstrom Nutrition, Metabolic Technologies, Hofseth Biocare and CVD Ingredients.
