WILD Gains FSSC 22000 Certification

Erlanger, KYWILD Flavors, Inc., announced that the company has successfully completed the requirements for the Food Safety System Certification (FSSC 22000), making WILD one of the first companies in the United States to attain this achievement. 

The FSSC 22000 is based on the internationally recognized standard ISO 22000 and the British Standards Institute (BSI) specification PAS 220. This certification has recently gained approval by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI)a collaboration between some of the world's leading food safety experts, managed by The Consumer Goods Forumfollowing an extensive benchmarking process using international standards based on industry best practices and sound science.

With the current level of concern worldwide, WILD has taken proactive steps to ensure the proper global procedures for food safety throughout the supply chain of our ingredients, says Michael Ponder, president and CEO, WILD. The FSSC certification is only a part of the on-going practices and awareness of the food safety provided to our customers ensuring international stability of our products.
