Supplement Manufacturer Gains USDA Organic Certification

STEVENSON, Wash.Total Nutraceutical Solutions, Inc (OTCBB:TNUS) has received USDA organic certification for its manufacturing and handling operations, after a successful certification conducted by Oregon Tilth in October this year. With this new certification,  the highest level of organic certification currently recognized by the USDA, Total Nutraceutical can use the claim "100% Organic" in the marketing and packaging for its Ergo-D2 line of food supplements and ingredients.

"Consumers are becoming more educated about what they are putting in and on their bodies," says Marvin S. Hausman, MD, CEO of Total Nutraceutical Solutions, which noted growth in demand for organic supplements in the United States increased by 7.4 percent to $681million in 2010 and is expected to continue to lead the non-food sector of the $29 billion organic industry in 2011. "Most of the vitamin D supplements you see on store shelves have been chemically extracted from sheep skin. Our ErgoD2 products provide the same levels of vitamin D, using organic mushrooms exposed to our patent pending ultraviolet light technology. Being 100-percent organic, vegan, and chemical free is a major differentiator when our customers are trying to make healthy decisions."
