McEvily Promoted at Opta

BEDFORD, Mass.--Opta Food Ingredients Inc. has promoted Arthur McEvily, Ph.D. topresident and chief executive officer and has elected him to the board of directors.Formerly the company's vice president, McEvily joined Opta in 1991. He holds a doctoratein chemistry from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and was a post-doctoralfellow at Harvard Medical School.
