SLATE HILL, N.Y.--Balchem announced the development of hydrophobic surfacecoating technology to be used in its Flavorshure product line. The Flavorshureline now includes hydrophobic root beer and hydrophobic raspberry flavors thatare injected with fortified flavoring for application in fortified foodproducts. In addition, Balchem now offers folic acid and vitamin C and ferroussulfate. The Vitashure line of vitamins, nutraceuticals and botanicals aredeveloped through the company's patented encapsulation technology and areintended to mask the flavor of nutrients in fortified food applications.
