Happy Friday. Here’s the new product/ingredient roundup for this week.

As gluten-free continues to gain popularity among consumers, food and beverage companies rise to meet the demand with new product lines. RW Garcia, a family-owned-and-operated maker of artisan and all-natural corn-based snacks, launched a new line of gluten-free snacks—3 Seed Crackers—in three varieties: 3 Seed Sweet Potato, 3 Seed Kale and a 3 Seed Harvest. Each variety combines flaxseed, sesame seeds and chia seeds with non-GMO corn and other vegetables.

“We hear from our customers just how popular vegetables such as kale and sweet potato are right now," said Margaret Garcia, RW Garcia co-founder and vice president of sales and marketing. “With our line of 3 Seed Crackers, we are responding to that demand, while providing retailers with something unique and great tasting to merchandise to their consumers."

From crackers to dips and side dishes, Wixon—manufacturer of seasonings, flavors and technologies—introduced its newest offerings for sauces, dips, and side dishes, again reinvigorate old classics.

The new products include: Chipotle and Cumin Sauce, add water for an instant sauce that packs a punch; Maui Onion Spread creates a lightly sweet spread with tang; Roasted Chile Seasoning, a blend of roasted chiles that imparts a deep, earthy flavor to dips, dressings, spreads and marinades; Smoked Onion Spread, giving “popables" some zip; Spicy Asian Pickle creates a tangy quick pickle by combining vinegar and water; Spicy Mustard Jalapeño Spread; Tomatillo Green Chile Seasoning, a mix of tart tomatillo and green chiles that can be added to beans, dips, dressings and marinades; and Zesty Cilantro Lime Seasoning, giving side dishes a Southwestern style.

From spice to sweet, Blue Bell introduced a new ice cream flavor—Marbled Cream Cheese Brownie, a combination of milk chocolate ice cream and cream cheese ice cream loaded with chocolate brownies and a chocolate sundae sauce swirl.

“I don’t think it will take much persuading to get our fans to try this flavor," said Paul Kruse, Blue Bell CEO and president. “The milk chocolate and cream cheese ice creams blend perfectly to create the same flavor as the traditional cream cheese brownie dessert. Marbled Cream Cheese Brownie is our first new ice cream of 2015 and we have several more that will be introduced throughout the year. It is always exciting creating new flavors, but it is even more fun when the product is finally in stores for everyone to try. You never know when you might discover your new favorite flavor of ice cream."

And last but  not least, Frutarom BU Health launched EFLA®sense, a new line of all-natural liquid extracts with sensory properties to boost flavor and health benefits in products such as beverages, confectionary, dairy, bakery and liquid dietary supplements.

EFLA sense line contains natural botanic extracts from flowers, including chamomile, elderflower and orange blossom; leaves, including peppermint, lemon balm and sage; fruits and seeds such as fennel and rose hips; and several herbal blends.
