Sharp PS® Gains EC Novel Food Status

MIGDAL HAEMEQ, IsraelSharp PS®, a soy-phosphatidylserine (PS) ingredient from Enzymotec, received novel food approval from the European Commission (EC), which allows the marketing and use of Sharp PS® in a wide selection of foods and beverages in Europe. PS can now be used in both dietary supplements and functional foods in Europe.

PS is one of the body's major building blocks. It is a natural nutrient found in the cell membrane and particularly abundant in the brain.
