Bovine Serum Globulin, IBS Study Underway

ANKENY, IowaA study on theeffects of bovine serum globulin (BSG) on irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is inprogress, according to a release dispatched by Proliant Health Ingredients. Inthe study, 45 patients with diarrhea-predominant IBS were given BSG (asImmunolin®, by Proliant) and monitored for frequency and severity of loosestools and other gastrointestinal disease symptoms, general health as indicatedby basic blood chemistry, and quality of life. The test period ended June 17.

This study is being conducted on behalf of KGK Synergize Inc.in London, Ontario; reporting and analysis are slated for July 1.
