The Sustainable Herbs Program of the American Botanical Council is following medicinal plants from their point of origin through their value networks and supply chains to raise industry and consumer awareness about issues of sustainability, regeneration and ethical practices. This presentation will:

  • Outline best practices around sourcing and sustainability

  • Discuss why these practices are crucial to the long-term success of the industry

  • Present SHP resources and those that it is developing to enhance industry engagement in deeper awareness and discussions of these issues and further sustainability plans and activities

  • Highlight ways you can become involved in SHP
