BELCAMP, Md.TIC Gums Inc. (www.ticgums.com) introduced Ticamulsion 2010, a new modifiedgum acacia emulsifier (U.S. Patent No. 6,455,512) recently affirmed as GRAS(generally recognized as safe). The lower-cost emulsifier may be used as areplacement for modified, emulsifying starches at half the level normallyrequired. Ticamulsion 2010 also protects against oxidation when used inspray-dried flavors.
