WASHINGTONKraft Foods Group, Inc., is recalling 2,700 cases of its jalapeno variety of Kraft String Cheese because the product may present a choking hazard if the layer of plastic film from the package remains adhered to the product, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced Oct. 8.
The recall involves Kraft String Cheese Jalapeno Variety 12-ounce bags with 12 individual 1-ounce snacks with a best when used by date of Nov. 23, 2012. The recall was initiated after a consumer complaint. Approximately 2,700 cases of the affected product were shipped to customers across the United States.
