White Wave Soy Milk Recalled

NEW YORK--White Wave, a unit of Dean Foods Co.,recalled 35,000 cases of Vanilla Silk brand soymilk in April, thecompany reported. The recall only affected the company's 64-oz. cartons ofVanilla Silk. An alkaline material used to clean and sanitize manufacturingequipment contaminated some of the product. No other sizes or flavors of thesoymilk were affected. Two customers complained of unspecified health problemsafter drinking the contaminated soymilk, according to White Wave, but added thecompany was not aware of any serious health effects.
