LOUIS—Alpha Packaging opened a new 120,000-square-foot plant in Jacksonville, Fla., the company’s fourth plant, joining existing operations in St. Louis, Salt Lake City, and Bethlehem, Pa.The Jacksonville location will primarily service customers in the health and beauty aid (HBA) and pharmaceutical markets, with a series of new blow molding machines on order; it is expected to be fully operational by early 2007. Alpha is also adding new blow molding machines at its other three plants, and increasing total manufacturing by more than 25 percent.
