Phytomedics Receives Patent Allowance for PEITC
DAYTON, N.J.--Phytomedics(www.phytomedics.com) announced it received an allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for"Phenylethylisothiocyanate (PEITC) Nutraceutical Compositions and Methods." According to the company, the method permits enhanced production ofPEITC, a chemoprotective agent, within fresh plant tissue."The resulting nutraceutical formulation produced with the proprietary technology is safe, efficacious and oriented toward patient compliance," said Bertold Fridlender, Phytomedics' chief executive officer. "Consequently, a dietary supplement formulation will be launched in the coming months in partnership with a major nutraceutical company."
