Innovative Supplements for Pets, Women

Health and wellness is becoming increasingly important across the board. However, one-size-fits-all isn’t the best approach, especially when it comes to creating supplements for women.

Both women and men have unique health needs and challenges, and many rely on supplements to address those needs. Considering supplements for women, increased attention toward issues such as hormone imbalance and cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk, as well as the multitude of life stages women face—whether pregnancy, pre- or post-menopause, etc.—have presented opportunities to manufacturers looking to create dietary supplements for women.

However, the question remains: What do women really want?

INSIDER offers a wealth of information for companies looking to tap into the women’s health segment, including the digital magazines, “All About Women: What Women Want, Buy, Need and Lack," and “The Modern Woman." But what we really want to know is: How are manufacturers and marketers of dietary supplements addressing this unique, opportunity-laden market? To find out, we—the INSIDER team—are asking women’s health product brand owners to share the innovative design, sound science and whatever other stand-out qualities support its recent launches for consideration in the 5th Annual SupplySide CPG Editor’s Choice Awards. These awards are designed to recognize innovative finished product launches from CPG companies across multiple categories, including women’s health.

Additionally, we’re seeing increased innovation and activity in the pet supplement category—and we’re looking to reward companies that have recently launched stand-out products in the segment.

Interested? Here are the rules.

The products must have been launched to the U.S. consumer market between summer 2015 and July 2016. Product prototypes are not eligible. Deadline to submit is Friday, July 29th, 2016. The SupplySide editorial team will evaluate all nominations to determine the finalists in each category. Finalists will be showcased via SupplySide and Natural Products INSIDER, and the winners announced at SupplySide West in Las Vegas on Oct. 6 and 7, 2016. Winners are selected by the SupplySide editors based on market innovation, consumer need, scientific substantiation and the "cool" factor.
