CLEVELANDGaspari Nutrition, a manufacturer of dietary supplements sports consumers, has chosen to use Ganeden Biotech's probiotic ingredient for its new MyoFusion® and Real Mass® Probiotic Series products. The protein powder and weight-gain powder products, respectively, will be available in GNC stores nationally this month.
GanedenBC30® (Bacillus coagulans BGI-30, 6086) features a spore that safeguards the bacterium from environmental conditions that otherwise kill off probiotics. Gaspari said it considered other probiotic ingredients before settling on GanedenBC30 for its ability to endure various manufacturing processes, increase shelf life and survive the volatile environs in the stomach and intestines. Once safely in the lower gastrointestinal system, the spore germinates and releases probiotics.
Ganeden and its distributor Glanbia Nutritionals have been working with Gaspari Nutritions research and development team to create new formulations for the companys popular MyoFusion protein powder and Real Mass Elite Athlete Weight Gainer Powder.
Once the benefits of probiotics were brought to my attention, I knew I needed to put them in a great tasting product like MyoFusion and Real Mass, said Rich Gaspari, president of Gaspari Nutrition. If youre an athlete or a company owner like me, you always need to stay one step ahead of the competition. Athletes need support for recovery and fueling their muscles and thats just what our new Probiotic Series products do and all with great taste too.
Mike Bush, VP of business development for Ganeden Biotech, said having Gaspair select GanedenBC30 is testament to the strength of the science and people behind the ingredient. There is a great deal of research indicating that athletes need probiotics to strengthen their immune systems when training," he added. "To be included in the new Probiotic Series products from Gaspari Nutrition means GanedenBC30 will be used by some of the best athletes on the planet.
