Chr. Hansen Talks Strains vs. Species at GI Event

CHICAGOChr. Hansen will be promoting the important role of friendly bacteria in the human gut at this years Digestive Disease Week (DDW) in Chicago, May 7 to 10. The gastrointestinal (GI) medical professionals attending this years tradeshow will be able to learn more about probiotic strains vs. species at the Chr. Hansen booth and at a sponsored breakfast.

During the event we will utilize various tools to explain the following scientific fact: that only documented probiotic strains exhibit credible health benefits on the human body," said Chr. Hansen marketing manager Charlotte Beyerholm.

As a sponsor of the event Chr. Hansen, Hoersholm, Denmark, will be hosting the May 8 breakfast break at 10 a.m. Here attendees have the chance to talk to our probiotic experts while trying a probiotic sample with their morning coffee.

Kristin Gross, strategic sales manager, Chr. Hansens Health & Nutrition Division, added, We are looking forward to participating at DDW 2011, which represents a great opportunity for broadening the knowledge of probiotics within the (GI) medical community. With more than 15,000 participants from the United States and the rest of the world, DDW is the world's largest gathering of physicians and researchers within gut health. In other words, the perfect setting for emphasizing the health benefits of probiotics,"

Chr. Hansen is also launching three three-minute videos about probiotics, all adopted from the new Chr. Hansen-sponsored TV documentary Microwarriors: The Power of Probiotics." The videos which are available on Chr. Hansens website focus on the following themes: what are probiotics?, benefits of probiotics, and fermented milks and probiotics.

We have made these short videos acknowledging that some members of the target audience may not have spent 50 minutes watching the original TV documentary," Beyerholm said. Furthermore, we have utilized our sponsor rights to combine clips from the original documentary with add ins from our own archives to give a stronger Chr. Hansen point."

Chr. Hansen booth no. is 3724 in Chicagos McCormick Place exhibit hall.
