BENEO-Institute to Hold 2nd European Scientific Symposium in March

MORRIS PLAINS, N.J.The BENEO-Institute will hold its 2nd European Scientific Symposium focusing on prebiotic fibers and functional carbohydrates in science and regulation, March 12-13 at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg, Germany.

Leading academics will share the latest updates from a scientific perspective, as well as address the legislative environment in the European Union. Sessions will include: physiological importance of carbohydrates with a low glycemic response for the human body; options to reduce the glycemic properties of food; the effects of the European legislation in light of EU Health Claim regulations; new perspectives on what constitutes healthy human gut microbiota; and the role of prebiotic fibers in weight management and infant nutrition
