Southeastern Mills Gains SQF Level 3 Certification

ROME, Ga.Southeastern Mills announced its Custom Seasoning Solutions facility in Rome, Ga., and its Superior Quality Foods facility in Ontario, Calif., earned Safe Quality Food (SQF) 2000 Level 3 certification, the highest level of certification possible within the SQF Program.

The companys Custom Food Coatings and First Avenue facilities received the certification in late 2011. The two new certifications means Southeastern Mills is now SQF Level 3 Certified at all manufacturing locations.

SQF is recognized by retailers and foodservice providers around the world who require their supplier to complete a rigorous, credible food-safety management system. The SQF Program is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and links primary production certification to food manufacturing, distribution and agent/broker management certification.

Southeastern Mills has made significant investments in the areas of quality and food safety in order to receive this certification, and will continue to work toward maintaining the certification. This certification is a testament to Southeastern Mills' promise to customers to provide high-quality products that are manufactured safely and hygienically.
