All CP Kelco Facilities Gain FSSC 22000 Certification

ATLANTAAll nine of CP Kelcos manufacturing facilities located around the world now have achieved Food Safety System Certification (FSSC 22000), recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).

Beginning in early 2011, CP Kelco embarked on the GFSI, designed to elevate the commitment to quality and food safety, and validated by third-party audits of all facilities by the end of 2011.

CP Kelco operates to one global quality standard; meaning anywhere in the world our products are manufactured or shipped, they meet an industry-leading quality standard," said Gary Jansen, Director, Global Quality Management Systems and Regulatory Affairs. Our systems are in place and designed to protect ourselves, our customers and end consumers."

The GFSI program provides a framework for a system of independent certifications that ensures a suppliers food safety and prerequisite programs for food production comply with international and domestic food-safety regulations. This enables suppliers to assure customers that food and the ingredients used have been produced, processed, prepared and handled according to the highest possible standards, at all levels of the supply chain. Food safety applies to all foods and all manufacturing, processing, packaging and storage facilities.
