Ganeden promoted Michael Bush to president of the company, where he was previously its senior vice president. His new role will allow him to focus on Ganeden’s strategic business development and help manage the company’s growth both domestically and internationally. Bush will also continue to oversee sales and marketing activities, while maintaining his position as a source for media quotes, speaking engagements and educational opportunities. 

Algatechnologies appointed professor Yuval Heled as scientific advisor. Heled has more than 20 years of experience in clinical research with more than 70 publications in peer-reviewed journals. His fields of interest include exercise physiology, thermoregulation, nutrition, fluid and electrolyte balance, sports medicine, genetics and performance, and health education.

Nutralliance announced the addition of Steve O’Brien as the company’s technical director. O’Brien is a former vitamin E plant superintendent, plant and operations manager, and product manager at Archer Daniels Midland.

Nutrition 21 announced Joe Weiss has joined the company as president. Weiss’ top priorities will be to accelerate the company's growth with product innovation, science and branding.

Natoli Engineering’s president, Dale Natoli, was bestowed an honorary degree of doctor of science. The degree was presented at the honorary degree presentation ceremony at the Long Island University Pharmacy held on May 12 at the Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

Enzymedica announced Kevin Tautkus as executive vice president of marketing. Tautkus will oversee the company’s marketing strategy with the responsibility of planning, development and implementation to drive company growth.
