WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.--ConsumerLab.com removed a product from itsGlucosamine/Chondroitin product review passing list online because it was foundto exceed the tolerable upper intake level (UL) for manganese; the UL of 11mg/day was released on Jan. 9 by the National Academies' Institute of Medicine.ConsumerLab also advised consumers that some glucosamine/chondroitin productscould exceed the new UL for manganese. The company added that the product on itspass list that was removed could pay to be retested with a new formulation, ifit was under a different name than the original product.
