IPA, Bayir Group, Albion Achieve Developmental Goals

The International Probiotics Association (IPA)’s European branch, Bayir Group’s newly launched U.S. company and Albion Human Nutrition’s recently honored Customer of the Year all demonstrate the natural products industry’s continued development in both the United States and internationally.

Member companies of the International Probiotics Association (IPA), Global Alliance for Probiotics (GAP) and Yogurt Live Fermented Milk Association (YLFA) joined forces to create a European branch of IPA—the International Probiotics Association Europe (IPA Europe). The new European branch will reinforce IPA as the global voice of probiotics representing 60 collaborating companies. It’s first objective includes re-engaging and the enlacing the dialogue with EU authorities, and one of its key priorities will be to push forward the open discussion on the regulatory process for probiotics in Europe.

Bayir Group also reached developmental goals through the launch of its new U.S.-based company. Bayir Inc. (in Wilmington, Delaware) will serve as a vertical supplier of nutritional ingredients for the rapidly expanding U.S. natural products industry. Bayir Group owns or operates nine technologically sophisticated facilities that all follow strict best practices, such as cGMPs (current good manufacturing processes), and are ISO-certified. Its specialized businesses include: contract research and manufacturing, granules and tablets/capsules, pharmaceutical intermediates, prescription formulation sales, specialized phytochemicals, botanical extracts and glucosamine and chondroitin.

Albion Human Nutrition has continued to develop its customer relations in the industry by selecting Doctor’s Best as its 2014 Customer of the Year. This award was presented on January 22, 2015, in San Clemente, California, to CEO Gale Bensussen, COO Tom Lomax and supply chain manager Katie Lowerison. Albion recognized Doctor's Best for offering science-based products with the highest quality raw materials available on the market. Known for its well-tolerated “High Absorption Magnesium," Doctor's Best produces the formula with Albion’s Magnesium Lysinate Glycinate Chelate, which is chelated with both lysine and glycine.
