PISCATAWAY, NJ—Robertet Flavors USA announced the retirement of its President, Peter N. Lombardo, as well as the introduction of its new president, Robert M. Weinstein, Ph.D., and senior vice president, John I. Simons.

An icon in the global flavor and fragrance industry, Lombardo was instrumental in driving Robertet’s growth over the years, both as a member of Robertet’s  board of directors as well as the global leader of Robertet’s Ingredients Division.

Lombardo received numerous recognition from various organizations and customers during his esteemed career. The most outstanding achievement is that he received both the IFRA NA Eric Bruell Distinguished Service Award in 2011 and the FEMA Dr. Richard L. Hall Distinguished Service Award in 2013. He is one of very few to be recognized for contributions that met the highest standards of excellence and distinction from both the flavor and fragrance industries.

“Peter always represented Robertet with pride and competence. His invaluable contributions to our company and the industry will not be forgotten," said Philippe Maubert, president Robertet SA.

Weinstein will assume the presidential role in addition to his current responsibilities. Weinstein joined the Robertet team in 2012 and has been implementing strategic changes throughout the entire U.S. organization to position the company for robust growth in 2014 and beyond.

Simons will continue leading the flavor sales and marketing teams, and will also lead the flavor creation and development groups.
