Activ International, FMC Corporation, Leatherhead Food, ORGANIC INDIA and Rivkin Radler LLP recently announced exciting partnerships and expansions to their growing businesses.

Activ International relocated its manufacturing and R&D plant to Somerset, New Jersey, and the company plans to hold a grand opening event at the new location on September 29. The 40,000-square-foot facility will boast a 1,200-square-foot R&D center and a 30,000-square-foot manufacturing plant and warehouse. There will be five R&D staff on site, which include Activ North America’s formulators and scientists.

In other expansion news, FMC Corporation decided it will soon establish a European regional headquarters and research facility in Hørsholm, a suburb of Copenhagen, Denmark. The new FMC European Innovation Center (EIC), expected to open in 2016, will serve as a central hub for research and development, regional corporate functions and regional commercial teams. The new center will be located at the Scion DTU Science and Technology Park in Hørsholm, and it will bring together employees who currently work at sites throughout Europe and the United States, including employees in research, sales, marketing, regional management, finance, supply chain, human resources and related functions.

Leatherhead Food International Ltd., a subsidiary of Leatherhead International Limited, recently announced a major investment by Science Group plc, a global science  and technology advisory and product development organization. In future, the business will operate as Leatherhead Research Ltd. and will continue to provide technical consultancy services, including scientific research, regulatory advice, market insights and testing services to the food and drink industry.

A new partnership has also emerged as ORGANIC INDIA USA, a manufacturer and supplier of herb-based wellness teas and dietary supplements, retained Ingredient Identity, a regulatory management consultancy, to provide strategic quality and regulatory support services in the U.S. marketplace. ORGANIC INDIA USA will leverage Ingredient Identity to provide direct support as well as advisory services in the various areas of product development, manufacturing, distribution and marketing. Additionally, the company will provide real-time quality assurance support inclusive of controlled documentation, facility GMP audits, and quality system optimization across ORGANIC INDIA’s various international locations.
