OmniActive to Present Skin Health Science at Vitafoods Europe, Croda Launches Campaign

OmniActive Health Technologies and Croda announced resources—an educational session at Vitafoods Europe from OmniActive and a campaign by Croda—to guide cosmetics and personal care manufacturers in two key areas of product development: science and formulation.

OmniActive’s session, “The Beauty of Healthy Skin with Lutein and Zeaxanthin Isomers," will review a recent study on lutein and zeaxanthin isomers (Lutemax 2020) that show a rare combination of multiple skin benefits including even-toned, clear skin, skin lightening and brightening, as well as protecting the skin against the damaging rays of the sun.

The information will be presented by Alain Khaiat, Ph.D., a leading expert with 35 years of experience in the cosmetic industry, on May 10 at 3:10 p.m. Attendees are invited to attend the session.

Croda launched “Be Skinspired," a formulation campaign which will showcase its formulation expertise and bring to life a selection of innovative and on-trend formulations that have been developed together by Croda, Sederma and Crodarom to illustrate the combined total formulation package expertise of the companies.

The campaign will center on periodical unveiling of novel skin care formulations during the remainder of 2016. The skin care formulations will contain novel Croda ingredients, natural botanical ingredients from Crodarom and ingredients from Sederma’s range of skin care actives.

Additionally, Total Fluides, an international producer and marketer of high-purity fluid alkanes, and Seppic, a designer of cosmetic specialty ingredients, signed an agreement last month for emollient development and marketing to meet the “increasingly high expectations of cosmetic formulation chemists and consumers for naturality, ingredient safety and the sensorial feel of products," according to a Total Fluides release. The cooperation will lead to the launch of a range of high-purity alkane emollients including a new range of bio-sourced, biodegradable emollients.
