WASHINGTON—The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN)’s annual conference will feature a speech from Susan Dentzer, analyst on health, PBS NewsHour, and senior policy adviser at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

Dentzer will speak during the closing “Breakfast With..." session at The Conference: CRN’s Annual Symposium for the Dietary Supplement Industry, November 5 to 8 at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel in Dana Point, California. In her presentation, Dentzer will provide expert analysis on the current state of health care, drawing on her extensive experience reporting on every public and private health care trend in recent memory. She will present a complete and concise picture of where the industry has been, where its headed and the role of the industry in today’s landscape.

As an elected member of the Institute of Medicine, as well as a public trustee of the American Board of Medical Specialties and a member of the board of directors of Research!America, which advocates for increased U.S. investment in biomedical research, among other distinguished positions, Dentzer’s breadth of knowledge will offer conference attendees valuable insights on how they can most effectively serve consumers in the new American health care paradigm.

“We’re excited to have Ms. Dentzer with us for the final session at The Conference, where, over breakfast, attendees will hear a provocative and forward-looking discussion of the current state of health care, with insights they can take home and make a difference with," said Steve Mister, CRN president and CEO. “We know there are health benefits and cost savings from dietary supplements that are yet to be realized by many U.S. populations at risk for disease, especially among those over 55 years old . The dietary supplement industry has so much to offer, and Ms. Dentzer will help spark ideas for potential opportunities."

The “Breakfast With..." session on the morning of Saturday, November 8 closes the conference after two full days of sessions on Thursday and Friday. In addition, CRN is presenting The Workshop: CRN’s Day of Science, an all-day symposium on November 5.
