Jungbunzlauer's Zinc Citrate GRAS Affirmed

BASEL, Switzerland Jungbunzlauer announced its zinc citrate was self-affirmed GRAS (generally recognized as safe), following a review by an independent scientific panel. The affirmation allows formulators to use zinc citrate in a range of food and beverage products as an organic mineral source with superior bioavailability, physiological compatibility and better taste than nonorganic zinc. Also, zinc citrate has one of the highest zinc contents31 percentamong organic zinc salts.
