Pharmanex Awarded Patent on BioGinkgo 27/7

SAN FRANCISCO--Pharmanex in January was issued a patent (No. 6,174,531) on its BioGinkgo^® 27/7 ginkgo ingredient. The patent covers the preparation method for the product as well as product composition.

The extraction process covered by the patent yields increased amounts of terpene lactones and ginkgolide B. Another process is used for removing ginkgolic acids. More information is available at www.pharmanex.com.
