Natraceutical Proceeds with CocoanOX Marketing

VALENCIA, Spain Natraceutical Group (www.NatraceuticalGroup.com) announced it was notified Mars Inc. withdrew its request for a preliminary injunction, originally filed in April, which alleged Natraceutical was infringing on Mars U.S. patents covering cocoa-based antioxidants. According to Natraceutical, the move allows Natraceutical to continue marketing its CocoanOX functional ingredient in the U.S. market while legal proceedings continue.

Jose Vincente Pons Andreu, CEO, Natraceutical, said the company was taking the news with due caution. I think the first conclusion we can draw is that the CocoanOX product range offers outstanding functional and therapeutic properties [which] has brought significant international attention, he said, adding the company intends to demonstrate its activities are in compliance with U.S. law.
