Cardinal Nutrition now Bergstrom Nutrition

VANCOUVER, Wash.

Cardinal Nutrition changed its corporate name to Bergstrom Nutrition, effective Oct. 1. The company was founded by George Bergstrom III in 1998, and launched its proprietary OptiMSM® brand of methysulfonylmethane (MSM) to the human nutrition market in 1989.

David Lakey, president of Bergstrom Nutrition, said the name change is designed to honor the company’s entrepreneurial values and launch an era of new growth and diversification. “While the name on the factory building has changed, our commitment to customer success and customer satisfaction has not,” he added. “We are investing in plant, personnel and research to accelerate our growth to the next level.”

Among the recent initiatives are a worldwide strategic growth plan, broadening the experience of the members of Bergstrom’s board of directors, increasing plant capacity and expanding into broader ingredient channels.
