CCOF Executive Director Resigns

SANTA CRUZ, Calif.--Diane Bowen, executive director of the California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF), resigned her position in order to pursue other interests. Her resignation was effective on Oct. 1. The CCOF is one of the most respected organic certification organizations in the United States. Bowen's departure will not affect the quality of service, according to the CCOF.

In her seven years with CCOF, Bowen led the organization to a strong financial position. The CCOF's annual revenue was approximately $350,000. Under her leadership, that figure increased to $1.3 million. In addition, she actively contributed to issues and causes facing the organic industry.

"I am very grateful for the opportunities I found with CCOF to learn and develop professionally," said Bowen. "After seven years, it seems like the natural time for a change."
