HONG KONGThe fourth annual Vitafoods Asia expo, held Sept. 3 to 4, 2014 at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong, will feature almost 100 innovations ranging from weight management to nutricosmetics and Halal ingredients in the New Product Zone.
“At Vitafoods Asia, visitors can discover the most recent ingredient and raw material launches that can be used to develop groundbreaking products that tap into current and emerging trends," said Chris Lee, Vitafoods portfolio director. “The New Products Zone is designed to be a source of inspiration and act as a guide to what’s on show at exhibitor stands."
Latest research from Global Industry Analysts (GIA) says the global nutricosmetics market will hit USD $4.24 billion by 2017, while the demand for weight management products increases as worldwide obesity rates continue to rise, having doubled since 1980, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
Halal products will also be heavily featured as the Asia-Pacific is home to more than 60 per cent of the world’s Muslim population.
Workshops regarding regulations in the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) will also be held at Vitafoods Asia 2014.
