NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J.—A new study from Murray State University found that that Crominex 3+, a complex of trivalent chromium, Capros Phyllanthus emblica extract and PrimaVie Purified Shilajit from Natreon, significantly relieved arthritic pain in moderately arthritic dogs (J Vet Sci. 2013 Dec;1(3):1-6).

In the randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled study, 11 moderately arthritic dogs received a placebo or Crominex 3+ twice daily for 150 days. On a monthly basis, each dog was evaluated for arthritis associated pain (overall pain, pain upon limb manipulation and pain after physical exertion) and a full physical exam (body weight, body temperature and heart rate) was conducted. At the same time intervals, serum samples were examined for biomarkers of kidney (BUN and creatinine), liver (bilirubin, ALT and AST) and heart and skeletal muscle (CK) functions.

Overall pain was reduced by day 90, with a maximum reduction by day 150 in the Crominex 3+ treated dogs compared to the first day of the study. Dogs receiving the placebo showed no significant change in overall pain. No side effects were reported in the dogs using Crominex 3+.

Natreon offers patented Ayurvedic products including Crominex 3+ to support cellular energy, Capros for cardiovascular health, PrimaVie for energy, Sensoril Withania somnifera extract for stress and cognition, and TruFulvic fulvic acid for energy.
