Dr. Badmaev Tradition FB3®
Blocking fat from absorption is becoming a popular target for weight management consumers. Dr. Badmaev Tradition has launched a new supplement based on FB3® from BioActives Japan. FB3 is comprised of three botanical extracts—the Ayurvedic Coleus forskohli and Salacia reticulate, as well as Sesamum indicum (sesame seeds)—and is backed by in vitro and clinical research showing fat blocking action resulting in diminished visceral fat, liver fat, body triglycerides, food cravings and caloric intake.
C. forskohli is standardized for diterpene forskolin; S. reticulate is standardized for kotanol and salacinol; and S. indicum is standardized for sesamin. Each botanicals has its own fat-inhibiting properties. C. forskohli influences hormone activities in the body relative to metabolism and storage of excess fats. S. reticulate inhibits an enzyme (alpha glucosidase) involved in excess sugar storage and has shown ability to also block fat and reduce lipid absorption after a meal. Sesame seed extract is a protein-rich superfood known for cardiovascular and circulatory benefits and may also help block fat absorption.
