SupplySide West, Petfood 2.0 Win Folio FAME Awards

Food Product Design is happy to announce that two of its Informa Exhibition media brands took first place in the 2015 Folio: FAME Awards that recognize the “the best of the best" in magazine events. SupplySide West won Overall Single Event (B-to-B), and Petfood 2.0 took first place honors for Spin-Off Event.

Food Product Design is happy to announce that two of its Informa Exhibition media brands took first place in the 2015 Folio: FAME Awards that recognize the “the best of the best" in magazine events. SupplySide West won Overall Single Event (B-to-B), and Petfood 2.0 took first place honors for Spin-Off Event.

The FAME Awards spotlight the fast-growing event initiatives in the magazine industry for all publications—consumer, b-to-b, association and regional. It’s the only program that recognizes the power and contribution of live events in the publishing industry.

SupplySide West—the world’s largest ingredient trade show for dietary supplement, food, beverage, cosmetic, personal care, animal nutrition, pharmaceutical and sports nutrition industries—is now in its 19th year. The show offers cutting-edge scientific innovation and strategic educational opportunities, plus crucial networking opportunities that help form mutually beneficial business relationships. I’d like to share some key statistics from last year’s show. We had a 7-percent increase in overall attendance from SupplySide West 2013 and a staggering 78 percent over the past five years. In 2013, 12,768 attendees pounded the expo floor that was home to nearly 1,100 exhibiting companies. More than 60 countries were represented, including Canada, China, India, Japan, Korea, Germany, Mexico, Colombia, Peru and Australia.

Since its launch in 1996, SupplySide West continues to gain momentum. New programs are added each year and the audience continues to return to network among themselves at in-person events and receive first-class training and education. Incentive programs to enhance the experience at SupplySide West include the Survival Kit, CPG Editor’s Choice Awards Reception, SupplySide Central Stage, SupplySide Rockstars, Attendee Guidebook, Ixoreal R&D Insights Program and the International Buyer Program (IBP). This year’s show will be held Oct. 5-9, 2015, at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. Click here for detailed information.

The SupplySide Animal Nutrition Insights website was launched from it in 2013, a premium content-driven online platform exploring issues around the growing market for nutritional ingredients for pet foods, treats and supplements. The annual Petfood 2.0 event followed in September 2014, a two-day gathering of pet food and animal nutrition company R&D, science, marketing and executive management professionals focused on how to best formulate, package, market and distribute their products. In 2015, Informa combined the content site and event platform, rebranding them to Petfood & Animal Nutrition 2.0.
