As a category, weight management should hold great potential, as the number of obese and overweight people continues to skyrocket. However, due to consumers’ failed attempts to lose weight using these types of products—as well as safety concerns resulting from questionable products and ingredients pulled from the market through the years—the niche is one to approach cautiously.
