AUSTIN, Texas--The American Botanical Council (ABC) is offering a multitude ofinformative products, beginning with a HerbClip Educational Mailing Service on CD ROM.This service consists of articles and more than 1,000 critical reviews of seminal articlesfrom 300 publications reviewed from 1996 to 1999. In Herbal Medicine, in-depthoverviews are given on 107 monographs. Each monograph contains sections on chemistry,pharmacology, dosage and administration. With its first edition in its third printing,this information is available as a hardcover text or CD ROM. The ABC also offers Herb-Ed-Web a new program that provides herbal medicinecontent to health based and e-commerce Internet websites. It includes HerbalGramarticles and an herbal image library. Additionally, a new project is accredited forcontinuing medical, nursing, pharmacy and dietetic credit. The publication covers 28popular herbs, including a chart summarizing all of the clinical studies on the herbs withthe brands used in the study. The Texas Medical Association is one of the accreditingbodies and collaborators; there are a limited number of underwriting slots stillavailable. The work will be published this summer.
