ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill.--Weber Marking Systems Inc. introduced a new labelapplicator system. The Alpha V40 label applicator employs the wipe-on method toapply pressure-sensitive labels up to 4.72 inches wide and 98 inches long to thetop, side, or bottom of products as they pass on a conveyor line at speeds of upto 210 feet per minute. In addition, the unit delivers placement accuracy within0.04 inch, according to the company. The new system is available in right- orleft-hand configurations and includes an integrated controller providingbenefits such as storage capability of up to 30 label settings, prevention ofdouble or skipped labeling and regular updates on system status. Unit optionsinclude an on-board label sensor, warning light array and adjustable stand.
