BROOKLYN, N.Y.Virginia Dare has appointed Robert (Bob) J. Verdi to the position of Business DirectorHealth and Wellness, where he is responsible for managing and developing the company's health and wellness business strategy.

Verdi brings more than 20 years of experience in the food ingredient business, and previously held a management position at Farbest Brands food ingredient business and been employed by Novartis BASF, Pfizer-Cultor Food Science, Hoechst-Celanese and CPC International.

He earned a bachelors degree in food science and an MBA from Rutgers University. He also holds a Ph.D. in food chemistry from Cornell University.
