AMES, Iowa--Proliant Inc. introduced Iso-ChillTMWhey Protein Isolates (WPI), processed with a proprietary "chilling"process that preserves undenatured bioactive proteins. Iso-Chill WPI aremanufactured using a low temperature microfiltration process and dried byindirect heat. Based on solubility at 4.6 pH, Iso-Chill has up to 3-percentdenatured proteins; it also contains up to 12 times more nativeglycomacropeptides than ion-exchange WPI, according to Proliant (www.proliantinc.com).Iso-Chill WPI can be used in a range of ready-to-drink and dry-mix beverages andin nutritional bars.
