Prevention Launches Supplement Line NEW YORK-- Prevention® magazine is launching a line of premium dietary supplements under license with Windmill Health Products. The monthly publication reaches more than 11 million readers; publishes 20 special interest titles annually; is available in international editions in Poland, Greece and Latin America; and conducts national surveys on various health issues. West Caldwell, N.J.-based Windmill Health Products is a manufacturer, marketer and distributor of vitamin supplements. In a statement, the company said it will produce the Prevention line in compliance with established GMPs (good manufacturing practices) and with rigorous testing to ensure quality, purity and potency."The launch of Prevention vitamins is consistent with our brand heritage and our mission to provide consumers with the tools they need to live healthy, whole lives," said Stanley Weil, Rodale's director of worldwide licensing, in a statement. According to Howard Munk, Windmill's executive vice president, the dietary supplement marketplace is "cluttered" and "overwhelming" to customers unsure about what they need. "We've created a full line of Prevention branded nutritional products that provides real benefits and quality for consumers," Munk said, in a statement. "Prevention breaks through the clutter and simplifies choices." The Prevention dietary supplement line will include gender- and age-specific formulas, as well as products targeting specific health conditions such as joint health, cardiovascular wellness and diabetes. Prevention products will be retailed in independent and chain drug stores, mass market, supermarkets and health food stores in the United States.
