The company noted the extract, based on Fucus vesiculosus, a brown algae rich in phytotannins and sold as Phytonutriance HealSea, has been shown to significantly increase the production of aortic nitric oxide, known for its vasorelaxant and antithrombin effects, and to reduce the susceptibility of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol to oxidation ex vivo.
