SANTA CRUZ, Calif.--Harmony Foods's natural candy line, Planet Harmony, received organic certification. The company is the first in the country to offer jelly beans and fruit snacks that are wholly organic, according to Harmony Foods. James A. Hanlon, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Harmony Foods, said the certification was a big deal for Harmony. "Consumers choose 'good for you' products when the flavors, textures and eye appeal are equal to or surpass traditional candies and snacks," he said. The company also plans to introduce a line of a certified organic chocolate snacks including milk chocolate soy nuts, raisins and peanuts.
